WiPulan

Description

WiPulan is a natural, biodegradable polysaccharide obtained from the fermentation of starch by the yeast Aureobasidium pullulans. It is a biopolymer with many applications in the cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical industries.
WiPulan has exceptional film-forming properties, is heat stable and is stable over a wide pH range, making it an ideal ingredient for cosmetic formulations.

Product Information:

  • Chemical name: Pullulan
  • CAS number: 9057-02-7
  • Appearance: White to pale yellow granules
  • Odor: From a weak characteristic odor to no odor
  • Solubility: Soluble in water

Peculiarity:

WiPulan’s unique bonding structure is responsible for molecular flexibility and solubility, resulting in distinct film and fiber-forming characteristics not found in other polysaccharides.

Main properties of WiPulan:

  • It is stable, maintains viscosity for a long time and does not form a gel in the presence of inorganic salts.
  • Gives cosmetics a smoother texture.
  • It has excellent adhesive properties, making it easily and well distributed on the surface of the skin.
  • Easily soluble in water, which allows it to be used in shampoos, hair conditioners, shower gels and other cleansers.
  • It is an excellent film-forming agent and rheology modifier.
  • Delicate and 100% natural ingredient. It works close to the natural physiology of the skin and can be used for all skin types of any age.

Application and dosage:

WiPulan can be used in cosmetic preparations to create flexible and transparent films. This film helps improve the texture and appearance of products such as creams, lotions and gels, providing a smooth, silky application.
WiPulan has also found application in pharmaceuticals and oral care, as it can be formed into capsules and its properties optimize the shelf life of products.
