Description of action:
Anti-dandruff products containing Piroctone olamine destroy fungal infections and prevent the formation of new dandruff. Thanks to this component, the scalp remains clean and does not itch. It can be used in all types of hair products. Due to its solubility in aqueous surfactant solutions and alcohol-water mixtures, Piroctone Olamine is well suited for the production of transparent products.
Application and dosage:
In clear anti-dandruff shampoos, in cosmetic preparations as a preservative and thickener, in hair care compositions, in products against
seborrheic dermatitis.
The concentrations used should be between 0.1 and 1%, depending on the type of finished product. For drugs that remain on the hair or scalp,
the concentration can be further reduced to 0.05-0.1%.
