Description
Parabens are synthetic ingredients, esters of para-hydroxybenzoic acid, widely used as preservatives in the cosmetics industry due to their antiseptic and fungicidal properties.
Main properties of parabens:
- Effective against mold fungi;
- Prevents the proliferation of gram-positive bacteria;
- They do not have a sensitizing effect;
- Do not irritate the skin;
- Non-toxic in the indicated dosages.
