LLIP
Description
Lanolin Oil with Isopropyl Palmitate
Composition and description
LLIP contains liquid lanolin esters as the main component. Physical properties are adjusted by adding liquid fatty alcohols and esters of long-chain fatty acids. LLIP is a clear, pale yellow liquid with low viscosity and a slight characteristic odor.
Peculiarities
LLIP offers the possibility of using natural lanolin esters as a low-viscosity liquid with a very low cloud point and melting point. LLIP is quickly absorbed into the skin. It is a good emollient and does not leave the skin feeling greasy. Solubility in aerosol propellants is excellent and tends not to block aerosol canister nozzles even at low temperatures.
Application
LLIP’s wide range of solubility and compatibility makes the product extremely convenient for quick and easy introduction as a desiccant in bath oils, skin lotions, sunscreen oils, etc. LLIP is also a suitable plasticizer for film-forming resin in hair aerosols and as an additive in nail polish removers to prevent nail splitting.
Dermatological studies
All LLIP components are classified as dermatologically safe.
Features of application
LLIP is easily processed and dissolves at room temperature in other oils without heating. It can withstand temperatures up to 80°C during the production process. However, high temperatures should be avoided for long periods of time. LLIP should be stored in a cool, dry place in closed containers.
