Ingredients for perm and depilation

Description

Thioglycolic acid 80-99%, (Thioglycolic acid) (CAS No.): 68-11-1

Colorless or yellowish transparent liquid, soluble in water and alcohol with a characteristic unpleasant odor. Solutions of thioglycolic acid and its salt soften hair keratin, which is why they are used as components of perm preparations and depilatories. And in combination with dyes, thioglycolic acid is used for hair coloring.

Ammonium thioglycolate 60-71%, (Ammonium thioglycolate) (CAS No.): 5421-46-5

Transparent liquid without any color. It is a salt of thioglycolic acid and ammonia and is used in straightening and perm formulations. It breaks down disulfide bonds in keratin, the protein of hair, which makes hair elastic, after which it can take any shape. Widely used in the cosmetic industry as a component of professional products for straightening curly hair.

Monoethanolamine thioglycolate 40-50% (CAS No.): 126-97-6

Colorless liquid – actions similar to ammonium thioglycolate, but gentle and odorless. Used in cosmetics for perming and straightening hair.

Potassium thioglycolate 30-43%, (Potassium thioglycolate) (CAS No.): 34452-51-2

Colorless or pinkish liquid. Dissolves the protein structure of the hair and ensures its easy removal. Used in depilatory products

Calcium thioglycolate 99% (CAS No.): 814-71-1

White crystalline powder, soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, and has a distinctive odor. The calcium salt of thioglycolic acid effectively destroys hair keratin, but has less irritating potential than potassium salts, and is used exclusively in depilatory creams and gels where transparency is required.
